Since we started Lakeland Lights back in 2019, we’ve stuck to one thing when it comes to pricing - keep it simple, fair and as affordable as we can manage. For six years we’ve proudly held our prices. Not once have we put them up despite wax costs going through the roof, packaging increases, rising rents, energy bills and everything else that comes with running a small manufacturing business.

It’s not something we’ve ever made a fuss about. We've just got on with it and worked hard to absorb things without passing that on to our customers.

But in 2025, we’re having to make a change.

From 1st April, we’ll be making small increases across our range. Here’s what’s changing:

• Medium candles (up to 30 hours) will go from £15 to £16

• Large candles (up to 45 hours) will go from £22 to £24

• Wax melt packs will go from £7 to £7.50

• 3 candle gift sets will go from £28 to £30

• 6 candle gift sets will go from £54 to £58

We’ve done everything we can to avoid this but when your wax costs, for example, are up 70% in recent years and fragrance oils, energy and general running costs keep climbing - it becomes impossible to keep absorbing it all.

This isn’t about “what the market can take.” We’re not increasing prices because others are or because we think people won’t notice. We’re doing it because we have to.

We’ve also been told plenty of times we could be charging much more. That’s never been the point. Whether you’re someone who thinks £7 is a treat or £70 is the norm, we want our candles to feel special and fair, not out of reach.

We’re still proud to say our products remain some of the best value you’ll find for what goes into them. The ingredients, the care and the packaging - it’s all still here. Just now, the prices reflect a little more of the reality we’re working within.
